What Glood stores
Glood keeps a local database on your device. On your iPhone, it keeps your rides and their GPS tracks, saved routes, GPX files, and settings. Your sign-in is kept in the iOS Keychain.
When you sign in, your rides with their GPS points, GPX files, profile, bikes, training zones, plans, and workouts are also stored in your Glood account. Supabase holds your account, records, and uploaded files in the eu-west-1 region.
Who can access it
Glood has access rules switched on for every table in its online database. Personal rides and plans use account access rules.
Kenzlab can access the database to run and support Glood.
Services that receive data
- Supabase: sign-in, account records, ride data, and uploaded files.
- OpenStreetMap: map tiles requested by map area, through tile.openstreetmap.org.
- Overpass: road data requested by the bounding box of a downloaded region, through overpass-api.de, overpass.kumi.systems, and overpass.openstreetmap.ru.
- Open Topo Data: coordinates for elevation lookups, through api.opentopodata.org.
- OpenWeatherMap: Weather comes from OpenWeatherMap, which receives the ride’s location, but only if you add your own OpenWeatherMap key. The service host is api.openweathermap.org.
- Strava: the app contains sign-in and activity-import integration code for www.strava.com. This integration is not configured for public use.
- CARTO: this website’s maps request tiles for the map area from basemaps.cartocdn.com.
Apple Health is used only with your permission.
Account deletion
An account-deletion request starts a 30-day grace period. You can cancel while the request is pending.
Choose Delete Account in the app’s account settings, or in Settings on the web dashboard. Until the 30 days are up, Restore Account in either place cancels the request. After that, a daily job removes your rides, routes, files, profile, and sign-in. You can also delete a single ride at any time.
